Marie McKeown

Writing has been an important part of my life, ever since I was eight years old, when I wrote a poem about a tree, imaginatively called ' A Tree' ! Fortunately I have improved since then, and I have gone on to have a couple of short stories published in UK magazines.

I live in Ireland where I work on community projects, teaching arts workshops and conflict resolution skills. I also teach workshops on self-care and personal development.  I have many interests including health, creative writing, travel, history, and my native Ireland.

However, my interest in people and culture is far from being confined to Ireland. I graduated with a degree in Spanish and Medieval History and I have lived in Spain and East Asia and Latin America.

I'm also 'Big Sis' to five younger siblings - that might explain why I love sharing advice, tips, and the lessons learned from my many mistakes!
